Yoga Immersion—Deepening Your Practice
with Lois Nesbitt and Jessica Bellofatto

There’s more—much more!—to yoga than updog, downdog. Yoga is a time-tested (we’re talking centuries!) path to becoming a better you living a more joyful life. Yoga is the planet’s only “spiritual” practice that starts with restoring your body to its finest, while at the same time upping your energy, clearing your mind, and lightening your heart. So if all you know of yoga is showing up to class and having a teacher talk you through the moves, it’s time to dive in and get to the gold!

These weekend immersions guide you right to the heart of yoga. Lois and Jessica will explain how and why we do the poses—and how to do them safely and effectively. They’ll help you over stumbling blocks and plateaus and poses that baffle you. You’ll learn the stress-busting breathing practices and meditation that barely get touched on in group classes. Find out where yoga came from, why all yogas are not equal, and what your options are for weaving yoga more deeply into your modern life.

Each weekend mini-retreat combines active yoga practice, breathwork, meditation, and lecture/discussions. Come together with other like-minded yogis, led by two of New York’s premier yoga teachers, and feel yoga’s magical transformative power shift your life to the next level!

NOTE: While this is not a yoga teacher training, completing these three weekends is required to complete our 300-hour Teacher Training. Want to teach? See details of our 300-Hour Hamptons Yoga Teacher Training Program.

Breath-Based Yoga Workshop with Jessica Bellofatto

Be True Yoga Sri K Patabhi Jois, the father of Ashtanga Yoga, described Vinyasa as ‘breathing system.’ Most of us tend to define or explain the term vinyasa as flowing from posture to posture. What is key about the ‘flowing’ is the element of the breath. Asana practice without breath awareness is like bread without butter. It is dull, stagnant, and uninspired. Once we learn how to incorporate the breath, the whole practice shifts and is taken to the next level. A level at which magic and transformation are possible.

In this workshop with Jessica Bellofatto, you will learn how to breathe and how to use that breath to flow gracefully, seamlessly, and blissfully from posture to posture. You will experience how proper breathing in Yoga supports the body, rendering it lighter and more supple. You will begin to feel how your asana practice truly is a moving meditation.

Cost: $50
